This would be a hi from Philly. Very happy I found this site recently. Just amazing how much of the rep market is a scam. If I didn't find this place I probably would've bought a "Swiss Tag" for about $400. It probably would've been one I'd find on here for less than $100.

My first purchase was an Explorer from Josh. Little rocky as there was some problem with the mailing label and USPS was a bit clueless. Didn't realize how small it'd really be. So now I'm looking for the Milgauss. Figure the few extra millimeters might do the trick. Trying to order from PWC, but that's proving to be a bit of a pain. Also looking at an upgraded PAM from Sead and Sub from BK.

This could be a fun hobby and have me quickly longing for a Gen of some sort. What better way to figure that out than play with a bunch of reps.

And my Phils are starting to frustrate me...ugh.

Think Charlie should've strapped them to chairs and made them watch the Eagles this afternoon. They just keep coming up smaller and smaller as the nights go. And these solo home runs are killing me. Why can't they do it when someone is on base?

and some people think it's jealousy why people hate NY and Yankees fans. They're mistaken. It's because they're arrogant *holes (said with much love) (TR is excepted)

*Happ should've started last night and/or hamels should've been pulled after the hit to petitt.
*Lee should've started tonight. In a day of better conditioning and athletes being stronger, faster and what not; how did pitchers take steps backwards? They're more injury prone, need more rest between outings. It's a travisty that a top pitcher in his mid twenties can't pitch on 3 days rest in the world series. Granted that's on Charlie, not Lee.
*And if Lee and Pedro can win and force game 7, I'm just not confident the Phils can win game 7.

Thanks, Dbpaddler! Hey look its no secret that Steinbrenner buys the best talent his pockets can afford and thats nearly everyone. I can see him putting up some serious cash next season for Cliff Lee. And yeah that doesnt create the most level playing field.

One other sobering note, one of my very best friends who was a die-hard Yanks fan when we were kids lives in NYC (I am a transplant in DC) and now hates the Yanks. He told me that the swagger and arrogance of the team and the fans is disheartening. He pointed me to a recent clip of NYC blue allowing A-Rod to skate on some parking tickets. I of course dont see much of that day to day. Certainly not the Yankees of my youth (Mattingly/Winfield) but Yankees all the same!

I have some buddies that are a little more sensible Yankee fans, and growing up a Phillies fan I was actually a fan of quite a few Yankees back in the 80's in my youth (Nettles, Winfield, Gossage, Randolph). Over the past few years I've gone from being ambivalent to them to rooting against them whenever possible. 04' was a sweet year.

Cliff won't be going anywhere next year though. I don't think the Phils will have any problem popping for the $9mil option they have on him, especially since Hamils forgot how to pitch. If he comes around and maybe Drabek can produce in the majors, they might be a little more solid next year. Well only if Lidge joins Hamils at the shrink to talk about finding that killer instinct the lost this year. Maybe Rivera knows voodoo or has a secret pact with the devil and just keeps sucking the mojo from star pitchers. He'll have a mysterious death the year after he retires from baseball.

Hey. I'm with you, the Phillies have been very difficult to watch lately.
Keep your head up. If any TEAM out there can win 3 more games. It's our FIGHTin PHILS!!! Come on. Don't give up on them. The damn Yanks do have alot good hitters on their squad, but our PHILS have just not been hitting their pitchers. Gotta love the " You did Steroids chants " to Pettite & Arod. Well... Let's go EAGLES!!!

What these numbers illustrate is what most Yankees posters on this site have been arguing the entire season: quite simply, the Yankees' front office wants championships more and are willing to invest their profits back into the product on the field while those "poor, poor" small market teams everyone cries a river for pocket their revenue stream. So, instead of hating the Yankees for their aggressive signings of free agents and investing revenue back into their business, why not send some hate the way of those owners whose teams rarely sniff the postseason while they're sitting on tens of millions of dollars of profits. The Yankees organization has a legacy of excellence to uphold for its fanbase; the front office recognizes this fact and spends accordingly. End of story. Now go whine about something else or better yet, get a life.

I'm not scared. Maybe a little worried. The Phillies are the only Philly team you can really have complete confidence in and not have in the back of your mind that they're going to blow it at the slightest bad thing happening. And even if they don't win, you know it wasn't due to a lack of effort or just ugly play. And it's tough to repeat in baseball. That being said, the bats wakeup and pitching hunkers down, it's still possible. I fully expected a 6-7 game dog fight so I'm still prepping for that.

Will keep the GTG in mind too. Hopefully will have something from here to wear, though I can't seem to order from PWC to get me started. Have BK and Sead in the background for when I can drop coin on some niced modded ones though. All in due time.

Logan, don't believe I complained about them spending money, profits and such. There's just being a good fan, and there's being an arrogant *hole fan. And as your attitude reinforces the latter it just reinforces my point. I have friendly rivalries with many people who are fans of various teams. Outside of my few buddies that are born/bred in NYC, a majority of the Yankees fans I meet are of the latter. And that attitude also extends to the various media outlets. Outside of some jabbing trash talk which always goes around, there isn't the extreme arrogance NY seems to have. Before the series started, all the talk was not if the Yankees would win, but would it be 4 or 5 games and the Phillies didn't even deserve to play in their stadium.

Sorry, but it's just tough to appreciate or give props to that. Granted there aren't a ton of championships in Philly in my lifetime, but haven't seen that level against any other team. Haven't seen it when we play the Giants which makes me think it's even more of a Yankees thing.

Think we just needed the Phils to believe as much as we did. They got out phillied, like they were playing their 3-4yr older big brothers. Always next year and the Eagles on Sunday.

Will do my best to stop by if I am around. There's a chance I'll be driving out to Michigan to see a friend that's moving to England. Where at the mall? Fox & Hound, Sullivans? Hooters?
