    Default Hello from Boston

Hi, folks. I'm new to this hobby, but have been informally collecting gen watches over the years, from Hamiltons to TAGs to more recently a nice Citizen Campanola Perpetual. In researching "bargain" solid daily-wearers, I came across references to how good some of the rep watches were getting, and found this forum because I felt leery sending a couple hundred dollars without any background on who I was dealing with.

Took the plunge this week with WatchEden on a couple of SS Rollies, a Daytona '08 Design With A7750 Improved 29J, and a DayDate II 2836.

Looking forward to posting some reviews and picking up some pointers from all of you!

    Welcome to RG.

For solid wearer I'd go for non chrono Swiss or Asian clone powered replicas, these are solid movements and they will last you a lifetime if they are properly cared for. The chrono movements aren't bad either but the simple fact that they have more complications makes them more prone to problems.

    Enjoy the site.
