    thanks for the info! that's about what we figured. i couldn't get confirmation about the membership fee. i can't believe someone would pay that. that would basically psychologically lock you in to buy from then even if they weren't the best price. if i paid 5 grand i'd live at their store. sheesh!

    Oh, my! Now, I have to admit that I'm not an Arts & Crafts fan by any stretch of the imagination. It's far too folksy for me. But I love the look from afar. There's no doubt that that is a beautiful home you have. It's definitely something anyone would be proud to own. I'm certainly envious of its completeness.

    god that's it exactly what i thought was the case. i am even more impressed with it. that's just beautiful! our house is new construction and is just plain. it has crown modling in the family room and dining room but its small and probably what the builder got a deal on. NO CHARACTER!

    That's unfortunate! The trim in my house had been gloss white and I wonder what the wood looks like undreaneath. I may sand it down and check some time. I was going to sand it to repaint it anyway. It's too white.

    Is there any easier way to check? LOL
