    Velasquez is also a great painter and I love his portraits of the Spainish royal family. Did you happen to see the Sussman video that recreated La Meninas? It's very intriguing because of the medium. A video of a painting? Okay, I'm there! I wished I could buy it but haven't seen it anywhere for sale, not that I've checked anyway. I also enjoy his Rokeby Venus which reminds me of Ingres' Grande Odalisque which automatically brings to mind this Michael Thompson photo of Julianne Moore:
