    Default Greetings from Los Angeles -

    Hi - I'm new to this forum and to rep collecting. So far, I have a Santos 100 chronograph and a few gen watches. I have a huge list of watches that I want to buy and it doesn't include a sub!

    Glad I found the forum - I have a lot to learn.

    Looking for another Santos w/brown band, Several APs (as soon as the the seconds at 12 riddle is solved) - a non-chrongraph will have to do for now, a B&R of some sort and... (drum roll) a PAM111.

    As long as I've been in L.A. there has been a project to improve the 405. Each time a lane is added to great fanfare and within 24 hours, the 405 is again a parking lot.

    LAX is a huge part of the problem. BTW - I'm in Playa Del Rey. Southbay rules! Thanks for the welcome - this is a great site.

    We only use the freeways when we're going downtown (eat, museum, Disney Hall) or leaving Los Angeles - usually going North.

    I do not use them to commute. There was an article a few years ago that used insurance company statistics indicating that commuting on certain freeways (710, 110, 5, 405 iirc) guarantees one of an accident every 3 years.
