In addition, you can't buy tracking for shipments abroad via USPS as far as I'm aware.

You can track using Express Mail, if I'm not mistaken, but you're not supposed to ship a watch using Express Mail, it's on their list of restricted items. And without online tracking, you automatically loose if the buyer files a Paypal dispute.

Late last year, I sold a Seiko on a replica forum to a guy in Germany, and it ended up getting held at customs but the crappy tracking only stated that it left the US. I ended up receiving PMs asking about the other recent international transactions I made because he suspected that I scammed him. He finally found the customs notice, but by the time he got around to going to customs, it had been sent back.

Then, it took another two months for the watch to make its way back to me, by which time he changed him mind, and wanted a refund. It had taken so long that I couldn't refund his original Paypal payment, and I had to send him a new Paypal payment. So, he ended up paying for my Paypal fees and postage, and was out about $30, but for about 3 months of aggravation, first wondering if the watch was lost getting to Germany, and then worrying that the watch was lost being returned to me, I ended up with absolutely nothing from that transaction.

If it had been a CONUS transaction, it would have been delivered in 2 days, the buyer would have been happy, and not had months to change his mind on the purchase.
