    Default Okay, i'll play along...

another newbie to your site, but this is what keeps it going, right?

Anyhow, found out about the site from Andrew's site, which I found from another satisfied customer of his.

I am an IT nerd for a living, car guy and photographer for a hobby. 2 of the 3 represented here :

have been around forums since the good old days of Vbb 1.0 and phpBB when it was in beta, so happy to find a forum with a wealth of knowledge like this one.

    Cheers.

not really, have not gotten into photographing any of them yet, as I dont have my Macro lens yet.

I have a few from Fossil, amazingly, i like their quality and designs for $100-150 watches. A few Nixon watches, nothing to write home about, a Kenneth Cole and my only rep, a Breitling for Bentley SS White from Andrew...

Glad to have ya! I split my living between IT and Photography. I shouldn't have mentioned that because I have yet to post a pic of any of my watches (shhhhhhhhhh).

You will love it here. There are really great people here and they are all willing to share their knowledge and wit (or lack there of) with everyone.

ouch, im sorry, that must be rough

nah, in all seriousness, i used to be big into the custom truck scene, ran with a bunch of the clubs out here in SoCal, but as i grew up, that faded, now I am driving that Caddy in the photo above. Not too shabby to be driving a luxury car that puts out 400hp/395tq and will walk most anything on the street.

well no kidding but for the type of photography i want to do with them, i need to get my hands on a 100mm macro.

Otherwise, I will see what I can do about taking some pics this weekend...

Fair enough. I don't know if you've seen any of my photos, but they're taken without an SLR, let alone a Macro lens/setting.

that i have, and good lookin stuff.

I have found with more of the point and shoot ones, you can get some decent pictures, if you know how to take a picture. Majority of the photos that you see that just blow your socks off, are not due to equipment, rather, the eye of the photographer and his/her ability to depict some good composition.

for me, the SLR and lenses, its a hobby which i thouroughly (i cant spell that word for some reason this morning) enjoy. Besides, gives me something to dump money into besides the house, car, watches, computers... oh ****....

    yeah, its a hobby

Believe me, if I had the money, I'd have a Canon DSLR with a pile of glass as high as a tree.

Oh, and next week, I get to play with a larger camera lens than anyone here has ever used, guaranteed. I just hope the atmosphere plays into my hands.

I am always very careful with statements I make. I laugh at Meade and their paltry 20" scopes.
