Hello from Michigan!

Hello,

I am a watchmaker from Michigan and I recently was turned on to this site by researching reps at Perfect Clones. I am mainly interested in the Pam "homage" watches. I recently ordered a homage, not a rep, and I eventually plan on putting a swiss movement in it and maybe do some more mods. The Pam case design is truly a work of art IMHO! I have also thought about purchasing a rep from Josh at Perfect Clones because he is a reputable seller, so I though I should ask a couple of questions while I am posting here. Here goes...

1. Do the Pam reps Josh sells have the cannon pinion fix (mainly the 111H and the 232)?

2. Is the "Officine Panerai" engraved on the back of the newer "H" movements, or are they letter stickers like I have seen on some others?

3. Are Josh's Pam reps considered very good(no insult)? I ask because I see that the Davidsen reps are preferential, however they are a little too expensive for me at the moment.

4. On Josh's site, how do I know what watches are in stock? I was going to order a watch (Pam 111H) but I was afraid to because of the Swiss movement shortage.

3. apparently Josh does inspect/ do QC before sending them to u. Pretty reliable, of course u will have exceptions! but he is easy to deal with. Will even replace them if u have an issue.
4. U can email Josh, his email id is in the dealers list on this website.

I am a newbie too, tried to answer my best.
Hopefully some senior poster pithces in too.

Don't know about the Pams. I only know Josh is a good dealer with a good after sales policy. Everything you want to know you can ask him in a pm. He will answer you very fast. The wtaches you see on the pics you will get, but in advance ask him in a pm for details of the wtach, like: what kind of movement is in it. Good luck and have fun.

welcome; i haven't ordered a pam but i have already gotten 3 watches from josh (cartier, rolex, and breitling). all excellent for the
price; speedy, friendly service. 2 more coming!

For non-branded, (sterile or homage) parts you can try Flavor Flav or Vac in their respective forum sections. They make very nice sterile pieces.

would not normally say this but since this is your intro thread and my welcome post ... i'm sure you're a Wolverine fan ... GO BLUE!

i look forward to the annual game this year, if I am not mistaken i think it's at Columbus. maybe an Ohio State / Michigan football and rep get together in the fall!

For that matter any Big 10 rep geek can attend and share their watches.

(i don't want to forget the Illini fans like Meden and so forth.)

Glad to welcome another Michigander/Michiganian. I've purchased a lot of reps from Josh, and he's as reliable as they come. Davidsen has supplied me a couple of PAMs with good lume and cannon pin fix. Currently he's out of Swiss movements. By the way, always in need of a local (I'm in Oakland County, a couple hours from you) rep-friendly watchsmith. Let me know if you're willing to work on reps.
