Through some painstaking web browsing, I believe I found what I was hoping to. A home for replica dealers and collectors who have integrity.

I live in the midwest and work in the auto industry. Have a wife who doesn't understand the fascination with timepieces, and two wonderful boys.

I'm new to the replica market and would like to ask a few questions/comments that hopefully some can help or point me to threads to answer.

I understand the concept behind replicas and the reason the business exists. What I'm less certain on is the expected life of a rep, and the materials used. It seems to me that the less expensive Gen watches where Reps are available are possibly a less wise investment? Meaning you stand to lose a bit more when buying a $200 rep where the gen was only $2000 as opposed to other watches much more expensive.

I certainly don't want to base my interest on the value of the gens, but moreso on the design and what fits my wrist style.

For instance, I'm hoping to start my rep experience with a BR 03-92. A gen watch that is theoretically affordable, but not for me if I want a spouse who is easy to get along with.

Ajoe (dealer) has decided not to sell the two he had recently listed, so during the down time of my search, I'd hope to get acquainted and get a little more educated about reps before actually jumping on something.
