I like Charles tyrwitt and hawes and Curtis - amazing value for money for the shirt. Pink is just overpriced imo

And CT I like their non-iron range, although H&C is definitely more challenging to iron. I don't rate TM Levin, and the service you get in their shops is pretty poor

As some others have already mentioned: Charles Tyrwhitt delivers a good level of quality for the price.

most of my shirts are english, by the likes of turnbull and asser, hilditch and key, curtis and hawes, tm lewin and older thomas pinks. i have gotten some shirts from charles tyrwhitt and would say they are pretty on point for the money, especially the sea island cotton. i've stopped buying from thomas pink when they stopped producing their shirts in the uk as the quality has changed.
    cheers,

Thomas Pink is way overpriced, esp with the other ones available such as Ct, h&c

But then again, I'd always wait for the sale at those latter ones when they're 20 per shirt invariably

I like Van Laack tailor fit but they are more pricey. Sierra trading has them for sale for 60 usd.

I just ordered from ct the first time. Customer service was great and let's see how they will fit. Their current sale with 29 usd for some shirts with free shipping was very attractive.

Whatever shirt brand you choose, I just wanted to let everyone know who reads this that I wear an extra extra extra double slim fit.

Like most other posters in this thread, I just had to boast about my girlish figure. And by that, I mean that I'm the best damn ladyboy you've ever had, Jeffrey!

lol, I like those shirts as they fit so much better and accentuate any kind of muscular figure you may have, but they are very easy to crease and difficult to iron

The ones with the different color inside the sleaves and inside the collar are the same price as I mentioned. The plain ones are indeed 18 bucks. They have a nice fit and feel to them if anyone is interested.

Nice topic here, kind of have a thing for shirts and wear one everyday.

Probably own around 70-80 shirts both formal, casual and business.
Most of them being mid-range shirts: Boss, CT, TM Lewin, Eton, Stenstroms, Sand, Thomas Pink, RL. Also have a few high end ones Canali, Brioni and T&A.
Have to say all considered you really get a lot of bang for the buck on CT and TM Lewin and their extra slim are 'real slim-fit', just remember to have them pressed rather thoroughly unless you want them creasing during the day....

Thanks, it's a good idea to share tips on upkeep of shirts also. Like you, I wear one every day even casually it suits me I think.
By pressing them, do you mean you do it yourself or take to cleaners?

I normally dry clean them but usually I scrub the collars and cuffs of any dirt which accumulates, which means don't need to dry clean them as often

Also, I really like the uniqlo t shirts underneath the shirt, which soaks up the sweat and doesn't stain your shirt if you do perspire a lot, or live in humid climate. It works really well even if its 33+ c outside

Usually I take them to the cleaners and let them use light starch. That usually does the trick. Just don't let them go nuts with the starch as it can mess up the fabric. In terms of my more expensive shirts I let my wife take care of them

I got my first Moder Tailor shirt that you measure yourself and fill out a form to get a custom tailored shirt. It's the best fitting shirt I have ever owned.

I also tried the MTailor app for iphone. It uses your camera to scan your measurements and the shirt is just as good as the Modern Tailor one. MTailor shirts run anywhere from $64-90 with a wide range of fabrics and options for the collar, cuff, pockets, monogram, and cut (slim/regular & tucked/untucked).

Modern tailor has more selection and your first "trial shirt" is only $20, but you only get to chose from black, white, and blue. The wait time is usually around 4 weeks, but well worth it. I think they both have wrinkle free as well.

Another vote for Paul Frederick's for the $. Also check out Tom James, they deliver to your office and come there to take your sizes as well. Great shirts.

Hardy Amies are my favourite for shirts, they are perfect for me off the shelf or tailor made at No.8 & No.14 Savile Row London. UK
