The thing with it when it had the gold bracelet was most people assumed it was fake from the start, just because they couldn't imagine anyone dropping £5-6k on an all gold Rolex!

Genuine gold GMT-Master-II, ref. 16718 can't be had for anything close to £5-6k. They go for £10-12k on the secondary market, that's exactly two times as much.

Ahh ok, thanks for that; I admit I don't know much about Rolex's so it was a stab in the dark based on more 'standard' ones. I was struggling to actually find much info on a model that looked like mine, most all gold ones seem to have a black bezel rather than green...?
