This place is home to many and I suppose feeling like home it's easy to poke your head in a room and say STFU or GTFO then go about your business. Everyone balances out but I don't think it's fair to say the site as a whole is full of douchebaggery and ****wits that hate noobs.

Post a legit question, get a legit answer. Post a question that gets asked over and over again, get some punchy responses. Point being - search for "best sub" before you ask which is the best sub and you will quickly see what happened to the last 100 people that asked the same question AND you will see the answer to the question.
My point exactly.

If someone posts a question that I can understand may have have been difficult in finding an answer for, or in some cases, may have found numerous conflicting ones, then I am sure most of us will try to help if we can.
It's when the question is one that shows, on the surface to be asked by someone who has not even bothered to search, that I tend to get frustrated, as over the years I have gained much of my experience and enjoyment from reading the many threads relating to certain brands and models.
The wealth of knowledge on here is simply mountainous and to simply bypass those members, who have spent time and effort to compile it for the benefit of all, is IMO simply rude and lazy.

If I ask 'which is the best brand X', I want to know why and also how that conclusion has been arrived.
It helps me arrive at my own conclusion and also, more importantly, gives me a better insight to what to look for in any future version.

Yes we all started somewhere but the knowledge of others is what makes this forum such a wonderful place to be.
