Yeah, that sucks and I would have done the same. And yet, you are here. I think this place is worth a second chance. It's pretty good if you are into watches (Rep or Gen.)

I find this forum quite 'soft' compared to the harsh ones, and I am not only talking about rep forums.
It depends on what you want the atmosphere to be like. On some forums, it's like there is race between members after a Noob posts his first post, about who's gonna make the quickest and best sarcastic reply.
Then you get quotes, replies to quotes, GIF's, MEMES etc, it's like a war. I see very little of that here. It can be funny once in a while to see funny posts after the ''where can I find the best 1:1 sub" but I get bored quickly when it never gets serious afterwards.
On place like RG there's always a member that replies nicely, even to a question that's been asked a thousand times.
being a noob is not easy

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. BTW, some members really bleed from every hole, even their ears when a Noob asks a stupid question... All noobs must be woman? Too much?

Because you aren't buying her the same number of bags. Follow that principle and you'll be wanting to rename RG to THE SECRET OF MARITAL BLISS.
Really geeks. Every community has their opinionated members although we have them as the exception not the rule. It's not that we aren't helpful, we just want members to do a little legwork before asking. Most of the stuff is already available.

But who has the best Sub?
-
Some Noob member just scored the first V7 Noob sub that hasn't even been released yet and his TD knows it and this TD thinks other TD have not yet realised the new V7 is out and therefore this TD is selling the best sub knowing other TD don't know they are selling the best sub or that he is selling the best sub. So that guy now has the nest sub which he bought from this TD that knows what other TD doesn't know.... Does that answer your question

We (the staff), can't possibly see everything nor we want to moderate everything so as long as it is what we deem civil even if disagreeable, we might decide to let it fly.
It is also up to you to help us.
If you see someone that steps out of line, something that doesn't bode well with you, report it to me or one my staff members and we will look into it and no....the name will not change although props for the banner...it's funny
I got poked in the eye for bringing up an old thread, if the threads are there and you have something to add I can't see why not. If this isn't the case surely older threads should be locked after a certain period of time by the Admin.

We aren't going to lock down threads because of the same reason other forums aren't doing it; people normally know it's bad netiquette to necropost. The thread was buried in page 5 of the Tutorials section before you posted, there wasn't anything in any of the other sections' page 1 to comment on?

Necropost sounds so sexy... Like a fetish or guilty pleasure... And so does locking down... I love it when you talk dirty to me...

You won't get poked in the eye for 1 necropost mate. However, you will get stabbed in the eye for necroposting in 20 threads because that's the modus operandi for scammers that pad their post count for sales forum access. Not saying you did that but we have to be proactive or one of those necroposting fools slip through the cracks.

I am just seconding the post above. I am a bit of a refugee from another Rep Board where the environment got a bit to caustic for me. Sure, there is less activity on this forum; but compared forums that taxed my patience, this is a good tradeoff.
Yes, I learned more on the other forum; but it wasn't worth it to me. The only reason I ever even check that forum anymore is to see if I have any messages; I have found that even that is getting less frequent.

Sorry guys I didn't know that necroposting was a no no, I am trying to refrain from posting typical noob questions and it is a little daunting and hard coming up with new material at the moment. Will try to take some half decent shots of my Planet Ocean 9300 chrono and write a review of the watch and my experience with the TD, hopefully that is a way forward for me.
