Post Brand new and know nothing about watches-Need suggestions for my husband

Hello: I'm brand new here and know absolutely nothing about what to look for in regards to a nice watch for my husband. I would love if I could receive some suggestions on nice high quality watches I could buy him that would make it here into the states in time for Christmas. I know he likes Rolex watches because he purchased a bad replica when in Thailand. If you could also include which trusted sellers are the best at the watch you are suggesting. Thank you in advance for your help

Does he have big hands and feet? Lmao jk! Welcome aboard there are many options in M2M sales, no not the craigslist ads! Just snoop around and use your gut feelings with our list of td’s! Good luck

There is a section for us noobies to read. It is well worth a few hours to get a general idea of not only how the process works but to get an idea of which factories seem to be leading the way on a particular watch.

Also, start browsing watches with your husband. Be aware that he may think you are cheating on him by your new found interest in doing things with him, lol.

Ask him what his dream watch is. Then come here and ask for advice. I have had great experiences with InTime and PureTime. Trusted dealer and patience are a must for a successful purchase.

    Welcome.

Just setting some expectations. I have ordered with a TD and it's been a week now and the watch is still in China. Since is holiday season coming up I would strongly advise to place your order ASAP. Although I don't know your husband, the general fair safe watch is a Rolex Submariner. Bear in mind, no Rolex "out of the box" reps accurate enough without modding. There are some watches which we called "super reps" of which they are very close to gen, AP Diver is an excellent example.

Best of luck with your search.

Thank you. I checked puretime.io and looked at the Rolex Submariner. There are so many with different price points. Would you mind going on the site and giving me the names and numbers of the best selling and closes to 1.1 watches so that I can make a decision quickly? I would like to stay under 1k if possible. He likes gold and mixed metals. However, I would also consider stainless steel look as well. Trying to get him new jewelry in sterling to give him some variety. My husband is 68 years old. so he is more on the mature/classy side. Thank you so much!

I would avoid gold/mixed metal subs as the gold plating will eventually wear. You can't go wrong with this:

    ROLSUB0236 -Submariner 116610LV 904L SS/SS Green ARF Ult A2824 [ROLSUB0236] - $478.00 : Trusty Time Online Store, Your Trusty Watch Shop

Whatever you decide on, post the QC pictures in the QC section so we can make sure there are no obvious flaws.

That seems to be a very nice watch! Would you say for a first Rolex, green would be appropriate? Or should I go with a more neutral color face like black or silver?

This is one of my favorites but it is all personal preference.

There are many rep factories and many models. I would suggest you spend a few hours reading the forums to gain some knowledge before you purchase.
