Thread: Newbie seeking advice - TD sent watch with bent clasp after twice telling me it was not bent

    If you can’t get it sorted may I suggest cutting a small wooden wedge/slice off of some batten (2x1) Then tap the wooden wedge through the rectangular hole with a hammer. You will find that as the wedge goes in further and tighter it will push the bend back out. Keep an eye on the other side though, as you don’t want that to start bending before the bent bit straightens out.

    Or......looking at how thin the metal is you could tap it with a hammer and chisel which would probably work.

    Put the flat back of the chisel into the opening against the bend and then smack the front of the chisel with the hammer taking care not to get blade of chisel or hammer anywhere near the clasp.
