I feel like I've read a book going through this thread.
Any idea when the audio version is coming out?
I like to kill long drives with an audio book.
I haven't owned a gun since I left the Army.
I had opportunities to fire all sorts of weapons.
From a 1911A1 to a 7.62mm machine gun, an M2 HB and a 105mm cannon.
I also fammed on an AKMS and an RPG7 along with many others.
This thread has got me thinking about it though.
We have things like rattlesnakes and coyotes out here in the desert.
I think it's time to put something in the house. For my wifes safety as well as mine.
I went to a wonderful place in Phoenix yesterday.
They rent firearms and have an indoor range.
I'll get to try a few and decide when it comes to a pistol.
However the primary weapon I'm looking at is this one.
I've always felt the sound of a 12 gauge pumping a round into the chamber is one of the best "non-leathal" deterents to crime.
Its a remington 870 XCS Marine Magnum.
Of course, I could just rely on my pet cat to protect me!
