Newbie here... intro + questions about B&R

My first rep was a BR01, and I wish I knew of this site then...
I got one for little over $100.
No AR coating. Did not know much about it at the time, but now it really really bothers me. So much in fact that my friend is buying it.
Case was poorly put together, and it used spring bars instead of a screw bar for the strap... Minor things. But once you add them all up it was frustrating. So dont rush into it and read more. But You do get what you pay for....
