I wish I could be more honest in sales threads. I've seen some watches for sale that I wanted to post:

"Seriously, are you F'n kidding me? Did your kid make that? Was the object of the exercise to take as many random watch parts and shove them together into something that is round and kinda resembles a watch? I'd rather be late to work and get fired than have to tell time off of that piece of crap."

Ah, but I refrain.

(OK, maybe I've never actually seen a watch that bad for sale HERE at least.)

There is a reason that I sometimes speak up. I have bought some reps on the sales thread (when i was a noob) that were way too expensive and wrong. I bought a Rep 111 that was totally wrong with a broken buckle for more than you can get a very good rep from some of our dealers. But, at the time, I thought the price was decent and I only checked one of our *COUGH* overpriced *COUGH* dealers to see that he was charging less. So, now...I chime in to stop noobs from getting ripped off. I also hate people who buy a watch, wear it a few times, and think that I should pay EXACTLY what you paid for a used watch.

If I go to a car dealership..and guy a brand new car, drive around the block and bring it back to trade it in for another...guess what??? I lost 10-20% of the value...regardless of how nice it still is.

wouldn't you want someone to post on a watch thread which your trying to sell and help you sell it.

what i do hate is when someone posts in the sale thread "pm sent" and then makes a low offer to you. this flags the item sold for some people and deters interest from others. if i am looking at a sale thread and i see "pm sent" i assume it's probably sold, and move on. but it may not be.
