I almost got sucked into the ripoff scams- sites tryin to sell replicas for $800+ before I found this site.

Can anyone give me suggestions of where I can buy high quality reps? I'm looking for a datejust.

Is it possible to get reps with 904L stainless steel, solid 18ct two tone models, 27 jewel ETA movements, etc?

Any help is much appreciated.

You are unlikely to get those features in a rep and any site claiming to have those features is most likely ripping people off. The 316 stainless steel is very good quality (but still affordable) that our high end reps use (Omega "Ultimate" Planet Ocean (UPO), Rolex "Super" Sea Dweller (SSD)), and if it's an ETA (Swiss Movement) it's usually a 25 jewel movement (still very smooth and nice). Also, spend a half hour or so and use the "Search" function on this site, as everything you want to know has probably been addressed in the various threads. You will learn much more from searching than I can tell you in a reply post.

With the price of gold being roughly $875 an ounce. Anyone except a Genuine is not likely to be making anything solid. All of the reps I have seen that are Gold coated/plated/clad/wrapped have been good enough to not wear through easily. YMMV.

There is no solid gold 18ct TT datejust replica that anyone has ever posted here to my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong, but the cost would be extraordinary)

There are replicas that do a good job of giving you a 90-95% likeness to a genuine, but none are identical. What I can tell you is every time I see someone buy a "solid gold link" watch and post here, they get very dissappointed when someone shows them their exact replica and the true facts from an honest dealer (and how much less they paid.)

If after this you still decide to test the water good luck and report back to us, but do yourself a favor and search variations of "genuine solid gold links" before you do.

I'm a newbie too and thank God for this site! I was leery about purchasing a rep from any of the websites and logged on here to get some info. I have gotten so much great info here that has helped. Prior to finding this site, I even posted locally on Cragislist for raleigh and had scammers contacting me there too. Most claim grade 1A reps that they bought for 800 or more and they would "let me have it" for say 500 bucks. I still do not have a rep yet (looking for a Pam) but I will be getting one from either one of these dealers or one of the other members. Thank you Repgeek!
