Hi, from Northeastern PA
Hi, Gang!
This is my first time here; I've heard a lot of good said/posted about you on RWI and RWG, where I am a member. Hope to learn more about you, meet new people, and learn more about reps. I came late to the rep world last Oct. '09, with a Rolex Sub, TT w/ black dial. Loved it (but it wasn't worth the money I paid for it.) After being scammed on my second one, I found RWI, felt safe & secure there; then learned about you from them and the other forum, RWG. I had a career at one time as a college history prof, rode motorcycles, played guitars, and had a good life, generally -- until a brain tumor took them away; the surgery saved my life but left me partially disabled. Since then, I've been struggling to reclaim as much of my old life as I can -- like exercising at the gym, learning how to grow out of my computer neanderthal mode, and collecting watches -- both gens and reps. I find reps today so much better made than four years ago when I first began exploring the rep world. Even today's "economy" watches look very good & function well (I've acquired several of them). Although I know they're reps, I'm thrilled, in a sense, with being able to wear reps of watches I'd never be able to afford in real life -- and have learned a lot about watches in general -- esp. watches I at one time never heard of, like Panerai, IWC, Breitiling, etc. All I ever heard about are Rolexes. And, yes, I do own one Rolex DateJust TT, with Jubilee & Roman numerals, that my wife bought for me as a celebration for my still being on "the right side of the grass." Of course, after I learned the price of the DJ at the AD'S, I said THE WORD and almost did it in my pants! After I got up off the floor, I knew it was going to be a one-shot deal. This is why I love reps: I can wear good-looking reps of watches that I know in my heart-of-hearts I'll never be able to own the gen version of them.
Well, I've run on too long here; I'm happy to be part of the fabled RepGeeks and hope to learn and acquire more of the great world of replica watches!!
Cheers to all!!
