new noob in bristol (UK)

Hello from a noob in Bristol (UK). Lucky to find this forum and just ordered from Andrew.....Thanks guys for all the information - it gave me the confidence to order and avoid being ripped off. Went for the asian Omega GMT seamaster.

BTW - if i wanted to buy a couple more reps later in the year (here we go already - haven't even got the first one yet) what should i be looking for - I really want them for daily wear and to last. And should I get them waterproofed???

yes indeed, a safe and sage buy going with Andrew - he will take good care of you.
Waterproofing is iffy IMO, I'm not convinced it does anything unless you have it done by a modder or watch-smith. The parts are not top quality and can spring a small leak. My personal suggestion would be to not get them too wet - light daily wear water should not be a problem. (even dish washing with the bride should be fine)

Good advice above, don't bother with the waterproofing, it probably won't be done anyway. Some reps are highly water resistant because they're good copies of the very water resistant gens. i.e Rolex Submariner, Sea-Dweller, Breitling Steelfish. etc.
Other reps will never be very water resistant no matter what you do to them (all chrono watches).

Welcome. To answer your questions.
What you like
Buy a bunch and rotate
Some will last, some won't
Do you plan on wearing them under water? These watches will handle water like any cheap watch not made to be wet. In other words. Not well.
