Question Are we allowed to gauge sales interest via a thread?

Before I go through all the picture taking and stuff involved in selling am I allowed to do a thread in sales or elsewhere to gauge interest? Didnt want to break the rules.

If you want to sell watches and are not a dealer then you have to stick to the sales forum rules.

    Hi Luke,

We do not allow gauging interest/make me an offer sales threads. It has nothing to do w you personally, but there are too many of the:

    "Taking Best Offer"

"Will sell IF the price is right"

    "Make me an offer"

    "Gauging Interest"

type of threads that are quasi dealers/back door sales.

Having an easy to follow and defined set of RepGeek Sales Guidelines helps remove said issues.

The vast majority of concerns are from sales. That said, we are vigilant with keeping those areas as straight forward as possible.

    Hope this answered the question.

    Cheers and enjoy RepGeek.

Thanks JC for the explanation...I can see the conflict of interest. I guess I need to stop being lazy and pull of the nikon!

    true, bud.

Eventually your going to need pics anyway if you trade/sell/upgrade w a friend here.

Not even Stevie Wonder buys/trades a watch w/o pics.
