Default New to Repgeeks but not to watches :)

    Evening everyone!

As my thread title says, I'm new here; I recently discovered the rep addiction not too long ago while looking for new and interesting pieces for my watch collection. My collection, as of today, sits at 21 pieces with varying brands such as Alpha, Timex, Seiko, and Vostok. I'm already looking for my first good Sub rep, and my Income Tax return is pure play money... Hope to find that good Sub rep soon, and to find good conversations here.

Always nice to have some play money, especially when it comes from the revenue!

Welcome to RG, looking forward to see some pictures of your collection.

Thank you! Admittedly, I've already purchased a few reps; I bought three of the $30 specials from Silix not too long ago and am currently awaiting them eagerly. As far as the sub rep goes, I'm doing my research and I'm narrowing it down to a few trusted dealers. I may even purchase from a few, depending on what I can find. Ideally, I want to find good reps of a 'supercase' Sub and of the 'classic' 16610 cased model, complete with rep boxsets for both.

Drop into the Rolex Forums and have a good read before you make up your mind about which is best. You have Subs ranging from the $30 silix specials to the $1000+ BK Frankens at the moment so you're better off doing your home work, this is even more relevant when it comes to the submariner.

Welcome to the forum TVG. Just don't ask "Who makes the best sub?" It's a code phrase for "Let's beat up on the new guy". LOL

Seriously though, that question has been asked SO many times that alot of folks here react rather negitively to it.

Like Realreplica mentioned, there are subs in almost every price range sold by the TDs here, and they are ALWAYS comming up in the trade sections. So, the best thing to do is pick a price range and find a sub that matches.

    Kris,
LOL ohhh, I already know what kind of hot question that is, so before I even joined here I started doing research. First thing I learned is that, ultimately, the only way to get 100% replica accuracy is to buy the real deal. My research also kept me from making a HUGE mistake, as I came close to ordering from a dealer that is known to be a scammer. Thankfully, I didn't complete the process, as I want a better chance of getting a good quality rep as opposed to a piece of junk.
