Hello from Africa

Hello guys (not too many gals here I believe..).

Seems the rep game is a boy's sport. I live in southern africa, away from all the conveniences of fast postage, kind and understanding customs and friendly banks and credit card companies.. Still, I've been bitten by the bug and I've been fully "into" this hobby for just under a month. A big thanks to all of you on this and other forums for all your posts, because you've really helped me out, the new newbie, avoid a few pitfalls.. Scam sites? Check! How to order your watch? check! What not to ask the rep guys? (is it waterproof?!) - Check! Oh, and all the pics of reps.. a lot of fun.

Anyway, I'm a vintage rollie fan. Have a few gen ones, picture below, and now I'm looking for my real love in life, some subs. A TC Sub has been ordered to satisfy my taste for new, and Connie at King is sourcing a JB vintage sub and SD for me. And DavidSen is organising my ultimate fantasy Pam, which from the QCpics is fantastic. Now if only WU would actually get my money to him, and then he can send it.

Sooo... next post from me will hopefully be of some of my new reps.. Can't wait can't wait can't wait!!!! End of September part 2.

Oh, a word about the gen watches.. 2 VC's, a few dates, some pocket watches and a datejust. My favourite? The SS date from 1960's. The patina is simply fantastic, and it just feels right. Just need a rivet oyster bracelet for it and it'd be perfect.
