Just a wee hello

Hi all.

Basically I've wanted a Breitling Navitimer since I was about 10.. and always decided that I would buy one when i graduate (I'm studying for an Msci in Economic Mineralogy)

Graduation is coming closer and I started to realise that I'm not going to be able to afford a £4,000 watch!

But a friend mentioned replica watches and I started researching.

now this is when i got a little worried.. There are all these beautiful watches on a load of sites, and i can really see myself actually collecting these things... but i'm having real trouble trusting most of them.

one of the reasons I've signed up to this site is to find out just what i should be looking for when I'm shopping for a watch online, and possibly even to ask you guys if you can reccomend any REPUTABLE sites?

also realised that theres a chance people from here could be selling replica Navitimers, which i would trust alot more.

This has turned into a bit of a life story, but you get the idea.

I'm also in the UK. Have bought many watches over the last few months. All I can say is that the Dealers here are "Dealers" here because they have shown themselves to be honest and reliable. There may be times when it does not altogether go to plan, but they will do their best to help.

In my experience, I have not had one problem with shipping and the one DOA watch was sorted within the month ( I know a month sounds a long time, but the watch had to make it back to china, be repaired and then back to me).

I have used UK dealers and had delivery times of 1 day, I have used US dealers and had delivery of 4 days and China dealers of 5 to 14 days.

You wil not be disapointed with the dealers here. Take your time read the reveiws and select the watch that is right for you.

Lots of knowledgeable and friendly people here. Dont be afraid to ask a N00b question (as long as you have had a search first).

Good luck with the exams and finding the right watch.

You've come to the right place for Navitimers, that's for sure. They are a VERY popular watch, even though the rep is off from the genuine a little. Still a nice watch, though.

Give it a few weeks, you might see a better Navitimer....

As you should mate... I'd say 90% of the shops out there are full of it in one way or another.

There's some Glaswegians around here somewhere. Maybe you can buy one a pint and see a rep up close before you make up your mind.

Well I've ordered a cheapish navitimer basically to see how i feel wearing it..

when i've got a job for the summer I'm sure I'll be buying a better one (if i like it) or more watches probably. I've got a strange craving for a Panerai Luminor actually =/
