greetings to all from Finney
This forum has a lot of information, most of it very useful for people like me who appreciate hand-made quality time pieces, without the elite pricing and marketing strategies of the "legit" marques. My first purchase was a PAM Radiomir 45mm from Andrew, and the unit works like a charm, just the way I enjoy a wrist watch: in perfect sync with my mobile. Sadly, I forgot to take it off and took a hot shower…now it's the whole process of servicing and fixing the humidity issue.
I have read some funny posts and some classic "i am the mightiest and the queen" arguments of attitude and large egos. They are fun to read, but nobody should take those seriously.
I will admit that I'm looking forward to my next paycheck to obtain my second, and probably last , timepiece from a truly gifted artisan. The hobby is great, but I only wear one piece at a time and I know what I like. The spartan life has few belongings. Many of you understand this well. All this said, I'll learn to service and repair watches myself, hopefully one day I'll be able to build a solid, dependable, elegant and unique precision timepiece …who knows…
Best wishes to all
