Smile Greetings from Seattle - About me and 1 simple question (i hope)

    Greetings RG crew

My name is Tony, 40 y/o from Seattle - very newbie to this - and have some pretty straightforward goals.

So I did a lot of research on replica watches , as much as I could and it brought me here.

I read through newbie stuff and probably need to give it a 2nd pass to get more knowledgeable.

I'm not sure if I'm going to get deep into the replica game and customization game but with my addictive personality - its very possible I may lol but I want a good first experience.

My goal on this site for right now is simple:

I'd like to buy a very good Rolex Replica of a Two Tone Rolex DateJust that is 40 mm. I am not looking for customization , just standard out of the box.

I've been reviewing trusted vendors but its a tad overwhelming.

I'd like to know if there's a certain vendor that is recommended for 1st timers and provide the quality I'm sure you all expect with good turnaround on delivery.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this, I'm glad to be here, and I'm hoping as I get more enfranchised with the group , I can return the favor helping other newbies eventually, gotta have that karma.

    Thanks very much

    Tony

    Hi Tony, welcome to RG.

What you are looking for is a BP (name of the factory) Two-tone Datejust II. You want the one with either the 2836 movement or the more expensive SH3135 movement (which is a copy of the genuine Rolex movement. The second is more expensive, however.

These can be obtained from any of the trusted dealers (TD's) that are approved by this forum. I've used Andrew (Trustytimes), Toro (Torobravo), and Angus (Puretime), with each one providing excellent service.

Select one, go to their website, and browse the section on Datejust IIs to find the one you want. When you do, send them an email to see if they can get it for you (they don't usually carry these in stock, but go to the factory to pick it up when a customer places an order and pays for it).

Once you pay fir the watch, they will send you QC pics of it to get your approval. When approved, they'll send it to you, and you should have it in a week or two. If the watch has crooked parts, or parts missing, you can reject that watch and ask them to source another one for you. But they will need a good reason why you are rejecting it. But remember, these are not genuine Rolexes so you cannot expect perfection. But you can expect a watch that looks decent.

Best of luck, and post some pics when your watch arrives.

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad that some of the Trusted Vendors I've been looking at are the ones that you mentioned. That is comforting. Your overall scenario you wrote out matches what I thought is the process, just reassuring to hear it.

Looks like I got some scouting to do now

    Enjoy your scouting trip

One more thing: you will want the BP V2 (Version 2) DJII, in the event you are asked by the TD. These are the newest (and better) reps.
