Default hi im new, some questions

hi guys im new to the site and im happy i found it cuz it saved me from being scammed, i ran lots of searchs and clarified a lot of questions i had so im gonna ask here just the few things im still wondering
first than all im looking to buy a tag link using asian 7750, can u guys give an aproximate lifetime for that watch/movement ? how many time will pass till i have to dump it or replace a part from it ?
also i live in colombia south america, what dealer ships here ? also atl georgia works as my brother travels here in feb so he can bring it to me, that would depend on shipping prices and what works easier/less time
also based on the watch model and my location what dealer would u guys recommend me ??

thats all again congratz on the great site and thx in advance for ur help =)

    r4, welcome to RepGeek.

dealers will ship anywhere/everywhere for the most part. Both SA and Georgia will not be a problem at all. Once you find your watch and dealer of choice, the hard part starts: the wait.

Regarding longevity - it depends on wear and sometimes is simply luck of the draw. i have had reps for years and a few others for weeks before they needed repair. sorry I cannot be more specific, but it does depend on the specific watch you receive.

Regarding dealers, you can rest assured any RG dealer has been screened, vetted and is an established member of the RepGeek community - simply put, if they are here, they are the best available.

    cheers and again, Welcome.

    Welcome to RepGeek!

The A7750 is a decent movement, and if you are lucky witht he one you receive, you can expect unlimited life from it if you clean and service it every few years. However, some arrive unregulated or with chrono issues so it is important to thoroughly check it when you receive it and send it back if it is a dud.

Also, avoid watches using this mechanism that have seconds running at six.

...without seconds running at 6, this would be the Asian Unitas 6497 in the IWC FA Jones. I have recently bought 2. One I own and the other on its way from Joshua as I write. What's the problem with the movement and can it be fixed at reasonable cost if necessary.

    Thanks and happy New Year

    Welcome to the forum.
I have an IWC FA Jones withthe decorated A6497, seconds at six.
This movement is not the problem child that the A7750 is with the seconds at six.
It has been stone reliable since I received it. A really large, beautiful dress watch. Very classy and understated.
