    Hello All,
I have been a quiet member of the watchuseek.com community for a couple years now, and just stumbled upon this site today and thought I would join up. I mean seriously, can you browse too many watch forums?

I live in New England and have a modest collection of affordable watches, my favorites being:

*Hamilton Khaki Quartz, splits times between a Maratec "bond" nato, the OEM SS Bracelet, and a dark brown leather strap
*Orange Seiko Sawtooth on Seiko Rubber
*G-Shock 5600J (how could you not love this watch?)
*Invicta 8926 with the old bezel - sometimes finds itself on the bond nato
    *Wenger Escort on SS
*Wenger #72095 on a black Maratec Nato (I just love the hands/dial/strap combo of this one)
    *Natuica/Timex Tactical on Tan Canvas

plus a whole mix of others that get almost no wrist time.

I generally like very clean looking watches (sorry Brietling fans!) with black faces and traditional white fonts. The watches I druel over more than any other are the Kobold SOA's and the Kobald Tacticals, but as an aspiring professor (finishing a PhD in Political Science) I doubt those will ever be in my budget. I think I would sell my right leg for a Titanium Spirit of America with a graphite face, but my wife would probably be pretty pissed about that. Oh well, I can still druel over them. My wife is originally from Pittsburgh so on our next trip back I am going to try and arrange a visit to the factory.

My other "Grails" are a Darth Tuna or a Marine Master, but again they are more of a dream then a goal.

Anyway, I look forward to reading what you all have to say!

    Best,

    RM

So, are you going to be purchasing some replicas now?

Or are you merely feeding a watch addiction?

    Either way, welcome!
Sue Lor: All the people in this house are very traditional. Number one: never touch a Hmong person on the head. Not even a child. The Hmong people believe that the soul resides on the head, so don't do that.
Walt Kowalski: Well... Sounds dumb, but fine.
Sue Lor: Yeah, and a lot of Hmong people consider looking someone in the eye to be very rude! That's why they look away when you look at them.
    Walt Kowalski: Yeah. Anything else?
Sue Lor: Yeah... some Hmong people tend to smile or grin, when they're yelled at. It's a cultural thing, it expresses embarrassment or insecurity. It's not that they're laughing at you or anything.
Walt Kowalski: Right, you people are nuts.

Also, please enjoy the photography here. It seems that the folks here really can use their cameras.
