Rep Bag subforum

I think we could use a Rep Bag forum or subforum. There has been a ton of activity in that regard lately, but its very unorganized and people are posting everything in one thread.

Even a Bags forum with subforums for LV, Prada, etc. would be great. I think a lot of people here could benefit from such a change.

Heck, even getting a bag dealer as an RG dealer would be great.

I haven't dealt with Trevor before. Judging from other people's reviews, he seems to be a trustworthy guy with a good track-record. However, being someone who travels to China/Hong Kong every single year for the past 15 years or so, I think his items are of mediocore quality. In fact, many of the items shown on his website seem to be some of the lower-end reps we can easily find from street stalls.

I'm highly in favor of a dedicated rep bag area. Lack of that area and now general clutter is keeping me from sharing my experiences.

I agree. A rep bag forum or subforum is definitely needed. I haven't really shared my bags because that accessories forum is a mess. Please consider this, it is repgeek, not just watch geek. I think it would draw in a lot of people ( not just women) and it could boost sales and posts for watches, too, because I think once people get here and realize how good the rep watches are, they will want to get in on that hobby too.

Topic has come up a few times now..

always failed... maybe we could get one added if we get rid of another section (admins dont want 100 different subforums)

I say sacrifice the Cartier section... vintage section has only been around like a month or two and already has more threads. and rep bag section would have more posts in it within a month

down with cartier.. theres only the santos anyway..

Well, I would volunteer to Mod it, just to relieve the burden on Admin. But I do think it would be a big asset to the site.

My vote would be for a section for bags, clothes, accessories, etc. I don't think a separate section for each type of non-watch replica item is needed. Don't want to have too many subforums that don't have to do with watches (after all RepGeek is "a place for watch lovers").. so maybe get the existing accessories section more organized?

Rep bag subforum please. Its been rockin lately in accesories so build on the momentum. Needs to be organized. But the interest is there.

I would love to see a sub-forum for rep bags, clothes and jewelery, i think a lot more of us ladies may choose to post a little bit more and it would be a great assett to this already fabulous site, i agree with some of the others that the Rep Accessories forum is a bit messy with the different threads, if thats not do-able, would there even be a possibility of having the most popular brands e.g. LV, Prada, Hermes, Chanel etc being stickied at the top of the page so we wouldnt have to trawl through the threads to find who does the best LV, Hermes etc.

Missed this thread somehow (DOH) but here's a repost....

Just an idea but.....

Since Posh has taken permanent leave it seems- how about opening up her old section and changing the name to something to do with bags.

There's been a LOT of interest in the replica accessory section and Posh's old section seems to be a logical parking place for these type threads. No need to open a new subforum- it's already there! I'd be willing to help Dr. Time moderate it also if called for.

Bags aren't really an accessory per se like cufflinks or jewelry and the complexity of their construction and scrutiny they get is on par with our watches.

In addition it should create additional traffic to the site and encourage participation by our crew of women.

Or I could be WAY off base...........

I did notice this the other day Waffle but I think the Cariter section would be replaced with the Hublot section.

Regarding the Bag sub forum we could possibley do one under the Accy sub forum but not one under one of themain sections. We are acltually looking at ways to consolidate some of the subforums further down. The main page has gotten way too long.

I don't know much about rep bags and what to look for, so I am totally in favor of whatever you guys decide to do. What I can definitely say is if any of you are able to make it to either the leather markets in Florence, Italy or in Leon, Mexico... absolutely make sure you go. The prices are incredible, plus if you happen to be there on New Year's Eve you can negotiate the crap out of the dealers so they can make their year end numbers. These aren't reps of anything, they are all genuine leather goods sold in a big flea market-type setting right in the heart of the city.

I was thinking along the lines of what Syalr was thinking. Since we have an accessories forum already, sub it to that or since Posh had her own section and went MIA, open up hers (with a retitle) for new postings on bags/clothing.
