Changing Actual Title of Sales Thread

Hi all,

First of all, sorry if this is a daft question... secondly, also sorry if this is not allowed!:

Is it possible to change the title of a sales thread? I have listed three watches for sale in the last month, so I can't list any more until sometime next month, and have decided to keep one of them (the Graham Orange Big 12-6 swordfish). I hoped to change the whole thread, including the title that people see in the sales section, to my DSN PVD 195 that I wish to sell instead.

Is it possible to change the thread title? I have gone into advanced editing and I changed everything - but the title in the sales section remained as "Graham Swordfish - 21J Big 12-6 Orange Numbers"... I re-edited the sales thread and put it back to being the Graham description and images - but if I can edit the title that people will see, then I'd like to change the thread to my PDV 195 instead.

Thanks, in advance, to anyone who can offer any advice - and sorry, once again, if I am not allowed to do this to my sales listings!

You can't edit sales thread titles (mods can) and I would guess that this is one of the reasons why. Otherwise 3 FS ads could become 4, or 6, or 20....

You can post as many as you like in VIP though.

Thanks for letting me knowMaxDeath - I'll try posting it in the VIP section (and ask a kind hearted mod if they are prepared to change the title of the other thread)... if not, I'll just have to wait patiently as everyone else has to.

It's only fair that I adhere to the rules I suppose!

The mods/admins will sort you out, pm one of them.
You can see whitch mods/admins/owners are online at the moment on the very bottom of the main forum page.

You have 5 minutes after you ininally create a thread to be able to edit it. After that it becomes uneditable, only mods or Admins can for reasons stated above.

We just need to be careful so this doesn't become a way to go around the rules. I'm not saying this is what you are doing but I can see a scenario where 1) member puts watch for sale 2) ad stays there for a few days and seller gets a few PMs 3) Seller changes his mind and put a different watch for sale.

There's no actual way to know if you are keeping the previous watch or it was sold via PM and now you are just getting an extra ad for that month.

But I'm sure the mods/admins will be on top of that anyway.

The main things to correct will be typos or descriptions but no we will not change the tittle completely to reflect another watch sale.
