Bad Experience with "Finer Labels".A TD here.
I contacted them via wechat. Spoke to "Ben" or whoever they are really. Anyhow I asked about a few shoes I was interested in. He said he would get back to me. A few days later he sends me a photo and tells me the cost and the "trans ship" cost to send them. The cost was almost $100 more then what they cost RETAIL.
Now, Im admittedly new to the rep game. But correct me if I'm wrong: Aren't REPS SUPPOSED TO COST LESS THEN RETAIL?
What a crock.

Hello boss,
I am sorry that model had disappointed you.
The scandal aren’t our specialty.
Is it possible to give us another chance on leather goods or shoes ?
Regards,
Ben

Well, there you go. Give
@Finer_Labels
a second chance.
But
@techindahaus
, you did not provide any helpful context to the situation so anyone reading it would go "huh?" What shoe was it? What was the quote compared to gen? What was the trans shipping cost? Anyway, situation contained.
-
really way over exaggerated this m8, you are new in the game, this is not appreciated...if you do some reading you just had to send FL a message that you thought he was a bit overpriced in your opinion...
Bad experience??? , if it is too expensive for you move on to another dealer. Do you do the same with every store you visit for groceries...complaining that they are overpriced? what a laugh...
-
if the reps cost a hundred bucks more than retail, chances are your fashion choices are ****ty as hell
but hey what do i know ? i mean those never-heard-of-it folks at Michael Kors have begun to run Versace
so many watches, so little time ... even less money !

Im not in the habit of over exaggerating. This was a simple deal. These were simple black Gucci sandals. They retail for $250 direct from Gucci. The cost quoted was $198+ $132 in shipping. Only a ****ing idiot would pay over retail for a rep. As for the seller and his offer of a second chance. Sorry fella, I’m not interested. Anyone could check the retail cost and determine the sale was a non starter.
So so much for community support.

i realize you want to keep a paying advertiser but this one is shady despite his offer. Anyone selling a rep over retail with a straight face is hardly a TD.

Swearing anf using foul language in posts is frowned upon at RG.

Your insulting comments don’t change anything. The TD is at fault.

To a newbie the TD is always wrong.

Oh. Ok. So as a “newbie” your just supposed to accept getting screwed and paying over retail? Let’s stick with the facts of the deal. I was given a deal no one would accept and made zero sense to accept. But I’m getting slammed for bringing up and stating the obvious because this is a TD here?

Foul language or not, the price indeed is ridiculous. In clothes, i almost always go gen, for this reason exactly. Not much money to be saved and a whole lot of quality issues and other problems to encounter. And for you, OP, i advise the same.
Only the truly top-end clothes (or, more precisely, leather goods) make sense to buy in rep form. Like the Hermes Birkin and stuff like that.
Cheaper stuff, not so much. I've seen fake Armani "Lecollezioni" suits go for about the same price as gen Armani Collezioni ones from previous collections... absurd beyond limits. I don't have to say that rep suits are total and utter crap compared to gen ones, do i?

the TD explained that the rep shoes you want are not his core business/speciality but it seems you have a concrete wall as brains.
You want an illegal item and you are contacted FL about it. He took the trouble to ask around for you and get back to you and you are whining about the price? Getting screwed?...you accept the price or you don't, simple...are you going to whine on every deal you want?
who is insulting?....

He told me AFTER he offered me the shoes at the inflated price. And for the record, how many of those watches have you bought and sold are gen? Pot calling the kettle black M8.

DHGate is your best option as you are too new to purchase from a RG TD.

Keep buying from dealers that over charge and I’m sure you’ll do just fine. Best of luck to you. M8.

Your main issue is choice of shoes and shipping method. Reps aren’t priced like gens at all. A $1500 tag heuer rep can cost the same as a $8000 Rolex rep. They can use the same movements in both so it’s economy of scale. Parts don’t get cheaper based on rep brand they’re often times made from the same parts factories. Shoes would be no different and probably depends on how many were made and what kind of deal he maker gets from each supplier. Rather than complain about a rep not being cheap enough find another dealer because more often than not it’s not the dealer it’s that particular item from that particular maker.
If I had to guess the cheaper version will be exactly that, a cheaper rep. That said you decide your comfort level with regards to price diffeeential gen vs rep so if you don’t like the deal walk away don’t complain about the TD.

My main issue is that the seller was selling an item I could buy gen for less. That’s it.

Not a dig on you bud, just saying you need to understand the game and if you don't like the deal walk away. A lot of stuff in this game makes no sense. I can't imagine anyone paying for a rep Seven Friday watch purchased new for not much more. A $15k AP for $400??? Works for me! LOL!
