I think they take a movement from a Calatrava,

What I heard is they buy a calatrava with the same movement, melt the calatrava case for gold and put the gen movement in an aftermarket case. Usually to shower it with diamonds, but never seen it done plain like this

Interesting. I was wondering where the hell they just source a movement from besides stealing real watches. This makes sense though. Cannot believe someone paid $25k - I’m sure the movement is valuable but cmon.
