Hi from another Newbie

Hi all, similar story, I was also on the brink of ordering a rep from a website I wouldn't touch with a bargepole now. Thankfully I found this fantastic site and I'm talking to UK Watches who I hope to do business with and Precious Time for a possible Omega. I'm based in the UK so I've contacted my local guys!!

This site is just fantastic - a credit to the admins/mods and all the members. I feel welcome already and I'm constantly impressed by the enthusiasm shown in here. I'm learning loads and constantly broadening my watch and rep knowledge. And to think I almost took a punt on a watch from a website rhyming with 'he pay'.

A couple of quick questions. Do UK buyers generally experience customs problems if buying from Asia or the US? And does anyone know if paying by credit card is wise with UK laws. For example am I breaking any laws?

Now there's only one other problem.....deciding which watches I want!!!!

great intro mate. Good to see you and pleased to read you enjoy the forum. The members here are top notch! Stay away from Flea Bay and IOffer ****e also - you found some great dealers here to work with.

My advice would be to talk w your dealer specifically for the best post options. They have been shipping all over and in your case, many are shipping right from your back yard. UK Watches, Narikaa - all great to purchase from.

lol. The honest truth is that I got so pi55ed off trying to get a name that wasn't used I picked the most obscure thing I could think of! I kind of like it now, it's grown on me!!!

You can call me rich though - it's easier!

Gald you have found us and you avoiced buying from that site. UK and PT are two great people to work with. It is a higher risk for customers if ordering from out of the EU, but not possible.

Thanks all for your welcomes - I feel like part of the family already I am starting to worry about the origins of my screen name though. Now you mention it, pumpkin munching sounds like it could have some unpleasant sexual connotations!
