Saved me money in the short run but most likely not in the long run

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the world of reps. I guess I never knew the vast community about them or for that matter that reputable dealers actually existed. I kind of always thought of them as the street corner rip offs and not for what they have become in todays world. A way to have the means of having multiple nice things, instead of just one. I actually stumbled across this website when I was looking for pictures of a gen tag watch which I was considering purchasing. And now I don't really want to buy the gen because I have found soooo many reps that I want. So thanks for saving me money today but as I see from so many members here, I'll probaly be buying quite a few reps, lol.

Anyway I'm starting to ramble now. I'm looking to buy my first rep. I'm considering a few different watches: SFSO, Tag Link, SMP 007, and UPO. The only question I have is if I should buy a higher quality rep, swiss etc., of one of these or possibly more than one cheaper version,asian, to start?

Viper glad we were able to help you out and that you could find us so that you can partake in the addiction that we all suffer from.

Swiss versions in some watches are better as not much more expensive than the Asians. First pick your watch, see what options they are available with and then see if its best to go with swiss or asian.

I would get the SFSO and UPO! Also I would pay that extra $ to get the swiss ones. It seems that the asian copy movements are having some trouble with reliability. This is however not a problem with the Japanese 21 jewel movements you find in many reps, they will tick for many years without problems.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

The SFSO comes in 21j for a bunch less money, but you also have to consider what else you are giving up. Like the SFSO asian version doesn't have anti-reflective coating like the genuine article.

Good luck in your decision. Asians are cheaper but may not last as long (21J excepted), whereas you buy more watches the other way around. So I guess it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other.

I am sure you'll enjoy whatever you choose
