Hi all

I am really pleased to have discovered this forum! I have found a wealth of information which has greatly added to my enjoyment of this hobby. In particular, I am very impressed by the general very high quality of photographs that are being posted.

So, why have I bought some reps? Simple – I like the appearance of the one’s I have bought and couldn’t possibly afford the genuine articles. I am not trying to fool anyone – I just like having a nice looking watch on my wrist. Let’s face it, as has been said on the forum before, over 99% of the population wouldn’t know the difference between a great watch and an ordinary mass-produced one, or even care about it, so I say wear what you like, what suits you and what you feel comfortable with. When I wear my newly acquired Noobmariner, I look at it, smile, and think “what a lovely looking watch” and “what great value” (thank you Narikaa). Don’t worry, Rolex, you haven’t lost a sale, I couldn’t possibly justify spending all that money on a genuine one at the moment, but who knows – maybe this will give me the desire to own the real thing one day and then you too will have gained from this experience.

My first question was going to be about how to smooth the sharp edges of the Noobmariner’s bracelet, but I discovered BK has already posted an excellent tutorial on this subject. When I think of something that hasn’t already been discussed here, I will ask and I am certain good answers will be posted.

I am glad to be a member here and will post some photos when I have learned to take them as well as the rest of you.

Cheers!

Vlad
